Job Title: Designated Safeguard Lead
Location: The Holden School, Leigh
Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8-30am – 4pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

We are looking for an experienced Designated Safeguard Lead to join our fantastic well-established team at The Holden School located in Leigh.
About the Role
We are looking for a Designated Safeguarding Lead who wants to assist the Senior Leadership team in building working relationships with the Teachers and Support Staff to develop creative learning opportunities for our pupils.
You will be motivated by your belief that every pupil can achieve and reach their potential. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with pupils in a calm and engaging demeanour, whilst being resilient using an innovative style of teaching motivated by your belief that every pupil can achieve and reach their potential. We want someone who places a focus on the positive outcomes of our pupils and takes responsibility for helping improve the lives of our young people.
Whilst previous experience of working in a SEMH environment would be desirable, the most important element of this role is to ensure that pupil protection and safeguarding of our pupils is paramount.
About the school
The Holden School is an independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged from 4 to 16, catering for pupils with a wide range of needs in Lancashire, Manchester and surrounding areas. Our dedicated team work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life. We are a Therapeutic Led, Trauma Informed School providing individualised curriculums for our young people supported by our Class Teams, our Pastoral Team and our own Therapists.
We pride ourselves in steering pupils in the right direction, nurturing aspiration to progress them academically and socially, to encourage them to take pride in their achievements. Socially, we build confidence in our students, so they are able to have a greater understanding of the wider community in which they live.
